Workflow apps for instant automation: Accomplish more by working less

BIC Process Execution, GBTEC's tool for automating and orchestrating processes, enables fully automated workflows based on visual process models. Pre-built apps allow rapid automation of HR, IT, and administrative processes in a short amount of time instead of weeks.

Bochum, Germany, December 9, 2024 – GBTEC, a leading SaaS provider for intelligent Business Process Management (iBPM), introduces a new solution for seamless integration of process mapping and automation: With BIC Process Execution, workflows can now be fully automated without any programming effort – directly based on visual process models. With pre-built workflow apps, organizational processes in HR, IT, administration, and other areas can be automated in just a few hours, rather than weeks or months.

Integrated process mapping and automation
Unlike traditional solutions where process mapping and process automation operate separately, BIC Process Execution combines both worlds in a single environment. Employees model their workflows using intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces and bring them directly into automated execution via no-code/low-code technology – no IT expertise required.

A key advantage: changes to process models are instantly reflected in the automation. As there is no need for extensive synchronization between multiple modules, the likelihood of errors during process execution is significantly reduced. This saves companies valuable time and money.

"Process automation is a priority for many businesses but is rarely utilized profitably," says Gregor Greinke, CEO of GBTEC. "With BIC Process Execution, we are taking a major step forward: companies can now document and directly automate processes within business departments – right at the source. This marks a true milestone in BPM history. Given the shortage of IT professionals, our solution becomes a driving force for process automation."

Quick results with turnkey workflow apps
With ready-to-use workflow apps for standard processes such as employee onboarding, travel requests, or IT access management, companies can immediately start automating – without time-consuming manual process creation. The apps cover recurring tasks across various company departments, enabling seamless scaling of automation projects into additional areas.

The fact that processes no longer need to be equipped with hundreds of lines of code in a separately provided backend greatly accelerates the automation of business operations. Customers who already use BIC Process Design from GBTEC for process mapping only need to enable the natively integrated execution module and can immediately begin automating their processes. No separate installation is required.

Fully automating HR processes
In modern HR management, the use of IT systems has become standard, for example, to manage employee contracts or training. However, core processes, such as requesting references, parental leave, or part-time arrangements, are not yet available for automation. In many companies, entry and exit processes like "preboarding preparation," "onboarding," and "offboarding" are still managed manually using Excel spreadsheets. Employees tick boxes and manually forward the file between stakeholders, leading to inefficiencies.

With BIC Process Execution, companies can now fully automate the workflows of all HR functions. Most processes run autonomously, including automated emails and document generation, with files stored on platforms like SharePoint for further processing. The software "thinks" of all contingencies. When an employee leaves the company, necessary follow-up processes are automatically triggered: blocking access, returning hardware, and generating a reference letter.

A new benchmark in process automation: from two months to four hours
The same principle can be applied to workflows in other departments, making them faster and more efficient. While traditional automation projects often require months to set up a workflow, BIC Process Execution completes the same task in just a few hours.

"With BIC Process Execution, we are setting a new standard for efficiency and user-friendliness in process automation," concludes Gregor Greinke. "Our solution allows companies to not only document their processes but to automate them immediately and without barriers – a crucial step towards a dynamic and future-proof organization."
