Your mission
As (Senior) Engineer - Software Reliability (m/f/d) you will work on ensuring optimal availability of our award-winning BIC Platform software by implementing monitoring techniques and automating installations and updates. As an interface between development and system operations, you will be responsible for monitoring and (continuous) deployment as well as the automation of our software suite. As a team player, you are part of a motivated team and are ready to take on and drive tasks independently.
- Definition and monitoring of critical system parameters and efficient deployment concepts
- Designing and implementing automated deployments and updates
- Acting as a know-how carrier
- Uncovering efficiency potential and promoting continuous dialogue between cross-functional teams in system operations and development
- Working closely with the development teams, system operations and product management
- Co-designing the operating infrastructure and security strategies used, taking into account the available capabilities of cloud service providers
Your profile
- Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or similar
- Experience in monitoring (e.g. Elasticsearch, Prometheus), container orchestration (e.g. Docker Compose, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- Sound knowledge of software development (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs) as well as best practices such as clean code, unit testing and conducting code reviews
- Enthusiasm for new challenges and goal-oriented implementation of solutions
- Expertise in Linux-based IT server systems and networks
- Knowledge of cloud systems such as AWS and Azure and an interest in IT security are an advantage
- Strong ability to work in a team
- Good written and spoken German and very good English skills
