Your mission

As Head of HR (m/f/d), you will manage our HR team in Bochum, which currently consists of six people, and be responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic development of our HR department. In addition to working with and providing expert advice to our management team, you will draw up the necessary documentation and contracts and always have an open ear for our GBTEChies.   • Together with the team, you will oversee the entire employee lifecycle for our German branch (approximately 170 employees) and take responsibility for topics ranging from workforce planning to the offboarding process
  • Throughout the recruiting process, you will act as a sparring partner for our Recruiting Team Lead
  • You will advise our management team on labor law and HR-related situations and questions, working closely with our Legal Department and the Employers’ Association to develop solutions
  • Compensation management, employee development, and contract management will also fall under your area of responsibility
  • You will report directly to the executive management team, working together to develop new ideas for GBTEC's continued growth
  • Strengthening our employer brand, corporate communication, and on-site projects will round out your role

Your profile

  • You bring extensive professional experience (at least 5 years) in HR, including experience in disciplinary team leadership
  • A business degree with a focus on human resources serves as the foundation for your expertise
  • Experience in the German SME sector as well as in the IT industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You are highly organized and possess strong MS Office skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of German labor law
  • Your demeanor is professional, and you are characterized by reliability and enthusiasm
  • A hands-on mentality
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
