Your mission
As a Cloud Architect (m/f/d), you will work to ensure the optimum availability of our award-winning BIC BPM Platform software. At the interface between development and system operation, you will determine the further development of the software and system architecture to optimise deployment and operation in cloud environments. As a team player, you share your expertise with motivated teams and are ready to drive tasks forward independently.
- Advising all those involved in development and operations on technology and architecture issues, e.g. with regard to scalability, resilience and availability
- Developing concepts for the robust and efficient operation of our software in multi-cloud operation
- Identifying potential for improvement, developing solutions and helping to implement themOptimising software installations and updates by automating deployment and migration tasks
- Definition and monitoring of critical system parameters
- Promoting continuous dialogue between cross-functional teams in system operations and development
- Co-designing the operating infrastructure and security strategies used, taking into account the available capabilities of cloud service providers
Your profile
- Successfully completed studies in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or similar
- Several years of experience in the development, architecture and operation of software systems in cloud and managed Kubernetes environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
- Extensive experience in monitoring (e.g. Elasticsearch, Prometheus), container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of software development (e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs) and best practices such as clean code, unit testing and conducting code reviews are an advantage
- Enthusiasm for new challenges and goal-oriented implementation of solutions
- Expertise in the area of Linux-based IT server systems and networks
- Strong ability to work in a team
- Good written and spoken German and English skills
